A real stunner, the
Sony Ericsson Z610i will appeal both - those who breathe fashion, as well as those who want a handset that also makes some sense. The handset comes with a mirror -like surface, with disappearing external display, and sports a glossy finish (much like the fashion mobiles of this age). The phone is available in blue, black and pink.
The most striking features of Sony Ericsson Z610i is its external OLED display. Much like LG shine, the display is virtually not visible, till one receives a new message, call or calendar notification. And again much like 'Shine', even this display attracts finger prints. Also, another doze of disappointment comes with its size. The display is a little small, and could have been brighter more vivid experience. Plus, the brightness in the settings menu can't be adjusted. Flip open, and the clamshell reveals another display. Like its siblings, even here the display appears a little small.Being a 3G device, the Sony Ericsson Z610i comes in a surprisingly compact size. It measures only 94mm x 49mm x 20mm and weighing just 110g. And it sleek curves ensure that it can be easily slipped into the purse pockets etc.The keypad of the
Sony Ericsson Z610i is really impressive. Possessing large, slightly raised and subtly rounded buttons, the Z610i's keyboard is just apt for long SMS messages and emails. Further, the keys are responsive and fairly easy to press. For occasional snap shots, the Sony Ericsson Z610i features a 2 MP camera on its front side. Though it lacks flash and auto-focus, it includes a number of settings like 2.5x digital zoom, panorama, frames and burst shooting modes. There are also a number of colour effects including negative, sepia and black and white. And for video calling, there comes a VGA camera.
Though not marketed as a Walkman phone, the
Sony Ericsson Z610i comes with a competent and contemporary music player. Other features of this device are standard. It includes decent PIM features, 16MB of internal memory, connectivity options like Bluetooth and USB, PC Suite software, and decent talk time.
